Keith Haring Inspired Wire Sculptures

In this class, we’ll bring Keith Haring’s energetic, bold style to life through wire sculpture! Known for his vibrant, graffiti-inspired figures, Haring’s work is all about movement, rhythm, and human connection. His iconic dancing figures and playful characters use simple, flowing lines to express joy, activism, and storytelling.

Using wire as our medium, we’ll explore how to transform 2D sketches into 3D sculptures, capturing the dynamic, fluid shapes that make Haring’s work so recognizable. We’ll bend, twist, and shape wire to create lively, expressive forms that seem to dance in space. Then using neon tape, we will cover our forms to create dancing glow in the dark pieces
