Virtual Classroom Policies

•  Office hours: I will hold office hours where I will respond to emails, provide feedback for student work, and be available for scheduled live meetings if students need additional help.

•  Late/Missed Class: All classes will begin on time as long as one learner is in the classroom.  In the event that no students are in the classroom at the assigned class time, I will exit after 15 minutes.  I do not teach to an empty classroom.  Class recordings are posted by the end of the current week.  Missed learners have access to those recordings.

•  Prerecorded class links will be sent each week to the email address on this registration form. Any PDF files or recordings emailed are the property of Little Fine Arts Studio, making copies of these files for your family’s use is granted. No selling or unauthorized distribution of these materials is allowed.

•  Prerecorded classes are a work at your own pace. In order to receive credit through some partnerships, I am required to take attendance. Please provide pictures or email correspondence weekly so I can record proper attendance.

•  The recordings are the property of Little Fine Arts Studio, and are for the sole purpose of aiding in weekly art projects and the sole use by registered families. They are unlisted and only accessible by the links provided. For this reason you are not permitted to share or post any portion of the videos to social media or share the link with any unregistered individuals.

•  Class times – All class times are approximate.  Class length varies based on student ability and number of enrolled learners.  Classes are designed to run the allotted time.

•  Siblings – All participating students must be enrolled. Families participating without enrolling all students will be removed from the classroom.

•  Video/Audio Requirements – For safety, I do require a visual check-in at the beginning of classes.  After visual confirmation of participating student, I am fine with students using video/audio at their comfort level.  For a more engaging experience, I encourage at minimum audio, but do not require it.

•  Classroom Management and Student Behavior – I truly want all students to feel safe and comfortable within the classroom environment.  I do not tolerate discrimination, hate-speech, or prejudices. Chat and classroom engagement is strongly encouraged. I enjoy talking with each student and make their learning environment pleasant, fun, relaxing and social.  Virtual backgrounds should be disabled or kept simple and not distracting. I will mute students when I am giving direct instruction and when background noises are overwhelming.  Students should be familiar with muting/unmuting or parents should be close-at-hand.

•  Grading/Student Assessment – All student assessments and critiques are done virtually through class time and finished artwork can be posted on our Virtual Art Gallery Facebook page. I do not provide a student grade just a critique.

I have carefully read and agree to the policies listed and shared the virtual rules with my student and fully understand its contents.
